Fire Board will be installed where need. You will be given a glazing certificate on completion of work.
We toughened all glass where possible. All panel edges are Flat ground or polished so they are not sharp.
Cut outs and general power outlets (GPO’S) are cut with a water jet.
Our paints are made especially for glass, ensuring greater durability. The glass splashbacks are accurately measured with lasers, tapes, straight edges and squares.
Glass selection
All glass contains a certain amount of iron which appears green in colour. Low iron glass like Opti-white or Starphire has less iron than standard clear glass. This makes it less green in colour. Opti-white/ Starphire glass provides a truer representation of your colour choice. Standard clear glass is well suited to cool blue/greens, mid tones, strong colours, darker colours or metallic’s.
Slump Glass and textured
A painted slump glass surface gives a three dimensional appearance. We have six standard textures which can be combined onto the same panel or across numerous panels to produce a personal design. Custom designs are avlible. The best colours for slump glass are metallics, pearls, iridescent and our specialty coatings. Solid colours will drun out the texture but if mixed with an iridescent the text can be seen again.
Colour Selection
We provide a large sample colours in our showroom for your selection. You may select any colour from the Dulux Taubmans, Wattyl and ressene ranges. Colour matching to suit your needs is also available. In addition, we have a wide range of metallic, pear and specify coatings.
Printed Glass splashbacks
New technologies alours us to capture any images, Photos, patterns or graphics and print directly on the glass or print on the interlayer of laminated glass. They can be printed in semi transparent or solid. With some digital artistry photos can be manipulated to form the perfect pattern for feature walls. Wallpaper designs can be reproduced to create stunning glass splashbacks.
Mirrored Glass Splashbacks
A wide range of finishes are available in mirror glass splashback all on toughened glass where required. There are five standard colours silver, bronze, grey, blue and green. To those colours we can antique the mirror coating to produce a marbled pattern. No two antiqued mirrors are the same. There is light, medium or heavy antiquing.
Saturn/Sandblasted Glass Splashbacks
Saturn or Sandblasted is an alternative to the 'high gloss' finish of a regular glass splashback. Combinations of high gloss and Saturn can be achieved on the same panel whether it is a pattern or abstract design. Mirror coatings, Printing, gilding and specialty coatings can all still be applied to the back of these splashbacks.
